St. Patrick's Faith Formation program provides age appropriate faith formation guided by biblical faith and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Our children's programs are vibrant because of the many volunteers who spread the Word of God to our youngest parishioners. There are many opportunities to help: Catechist, Assistant Catechist, Group Leader, and much more. The classes are held on Sunday after the 8 am Mass from mid-September until mid-May.

For the safety of our children, all volunteers are required to complete VIRTUS training.
 
PreK-8:
Faith Formation for pre-elementary and elementary school-aged children is available after the Sunday Mass from mid-September through mid-May. Catechists gather with children in small groups and use interactive materials to help each child learn about the Catholic faith and build their relationship with God using the Bible and the Church’s liturgy. 
 
CONFIRMATION:
Confirmation students have a curriculum ("Chosen" program) that teaches the importance of the "fruits and gifts" of the Holy Spirit along with the responsibility that comes from being confirmed as a Catholic. Working in small groups, students are encouraged to participate in prayer, take active roles in Mass (lecturing, greeting, bringing up the gifts,or ushering), and carrying out some type of  community service. 

YOUTH ACTIVITES:

1) Together Encounter Christ (Pathways TEC): TEC is a three-day retreat weekend based on the Paschal Mystery.  Pathways TEC brings teens and adults together to be participants in encountering Christ as the family of GOD during the retreat.

2) Camp Summit: A four-day summer camp in Lanesboro, MN. Full of fun activities like high ropes, climbing walls archery, and night games. It also provides opportunities to grow in your faith through Mass, prayer, times, adoration, and confession. If you are looking to liven up your summer, we invite you to come to Camp Summit. 


3) Steubenville Youth Conference Rochester: This conference is an invitation to spiritual growth. Whether entering into a personal relationship with God for the first time or developing a deeper and more mature faith, the conference weekend is about developing the gifts given at Baptism and sealed at Confirmation. Dynamic speakers instruct and challenge teens in prayer, chastity, service, and the power of the sacraments. It is about meeting hundreds of people on fire for the Lord: laughing, crying, talking, singing, praying, dancing and being encouraged to take a stand for Christ.


4) Celebrate Me: A week-long camp designed for students going into Seventh Grade celebrating the unique individuals that each is.  Throughout the week students are given tools to help get through some of the tough things that adolescence can bring such as: peer pressure, low self-esteem, conformity, and relationships with friends and family.

5) Totus Tuus: A Catholic summer youth program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic Faith through catechesis, evangelization, Christian witness and Eucharistic worship. The goal of Totus Tuus is to help young people grow in the understanding of, and strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by establishing a real and personal relationship with Him that we can be led to love of the Father in the Spirit and so be made sharers in the life of the Holy Trinity.
